MoGlow
ELEVATING YOUR MORNING ROUTINE.
Most countertop mirrors are designed to be used while seated, despite the fact that makeup is typically applied while standing.
When MoGlow saw an opportunity to improve this experience, they approached Fahrenheit to design their debut product.
MoGlow is the first illuminated makeup mirror that can be raised to standing eye height. Built with a robust telescoping neck, it extends up to three feet, eliminating the need for users to stoop or lean in. The novel mechanism glides smoothly with one-handed operation, supporting itself at the user’s preferred position.
Fahrenheit did the industrial design, and worked closely with our engineering partners to create the experience the client desired for their users.

While most mirrors force users into uncomfortable positions, MoGlow enables users to stand naturally while applying makeup. (credit: MoGlow)
Most comparable products sit low on a countertop, forcing users to bend into uncomfortable positions. This is especially problematic for people with limited mobility. The other option is a wall-mounted extendable mirror – a costly and inflexible alternative.
MoGlow solves these issues by bringing the mirror to the user, without losing the flexibility of a free-standing product.

With an LED ring and multilevel diffusion for even lighting, the brightness of the ring light can be adjusted using a physical knob on the base. MoGlow is cordless and has a long-lasting rechargeable battery. The double-sided mirror can be rotated between 3x and 10x magnification.
The industrial-strength suction cup is controlled by a large central lever, allowing users to secure the mirror to a smooth surface.
What exactly is eye height? How do you design for the extremes without overcomplicating the product?
Using ergonomic data, we could determine exactly how far the mirror needed to extend. A 34” telescoping neck allows MoGlow to accommodate a very broad range of heights.
